How to pull, load, and check gear back in
Follow gear from the shelf to the truck and back. Pull records what goes out, Load Trucks records where it travels, and Check In counts the gear that actually left.

1. Choose the show and the right mode
Open Scanner and select your show. Check the show name and number before beginning. Shows still in planning appear separately with a Not confirmed warning; ask an authorized staff member to confirm the job when it is ready. Choose Pull, Load Trucks, or Check In, then select Begin Scan Session.
Choose the show, then select a mode: Pull, Load Trucks, or Check In. 1 / 3 -
2. Pull gear and record what goes out
Choose Pull for shelf-to-staging work. Scan the gear barcode or use the line controls to record the quantity you actually pull. For serialized gear, select or scan the specific unit. To pack into a case, scan its barcode or pick it first: subsequent check-outs are recorded into that case for this show. Check the active case before continuing.
In Pull, use Pack into… to choose a case before checking gear out. This demo list is already pulled. 1 / 2 -
3. Load the truck
Choose Load Trucks when moving pulled gear from staging onto vehicles. Select the truck and record the cases and loose gear being loaded. Pulling and loading are separate steps, so review the load list as you work.
Load Trucks separates cases from loose gear. Choose a truck under Loading onto before marking items loaded. -
4. Check returning gear in
Choose Check In for the same show. Scan returning gear or use the line controls to record what has come back. This mode leaves out the case-packing and truck controls. Its target is the quantity checked out, not the original planned quantity: if ten were planned but only six went out, returning six completes that line. The other four are shown as never out.
Start with the return list: this demo has 22 items out and none back. 1 / 3 -
5. Review partial returns and exceptions
Open Review and check Pending, Missing, and any line notes before finishing. Gear that went out and has not returned stays outstanding; gear that never went out is identified separately. Record only what you have received. If a scan was wrong, use the undo controls and review the corrected count.
Review shows the partial return and outstanding lines. Finishing does not mark the remaining gear returned. -
6. Finish or resume the session
Select Finish to see the session summary. Use View Review to inspect the results or Resume to continue working. Finish & Clear Session clears the current session so you can move on; it does not turn outstanding gear into returned gear.
Worth knowing
- Can I return part of a job? Yes. Check in only the gear received so far; the remaining checked-out quantity stays pending for the next return.
- Why does the return total differ from the pull list? Check In measures what actually went out. Planned gear that was never checked out is not a missing return.
- Why are case and truck controls absent in Check In? They are for packing and loading outbound gear. Returns focus on the items coming back.
- Does Not confirmed stop scanning? It is a warning about the show status. Confirm the job with your team before treating planning work as a booked job.
