Checkout and Return

Know which case left, which unit came back, and what needs repair.

Flightcase gives AV warehouses scan-based checkout and return workflows tied to serialized equipment, cases, shows, pull sheets, issues, and repair follow-up.

Identity at the loading dock

A quantity cannot tell you which unit is on the truck.

The pull sheet may call for four fixtures, but the warehouse still needs to know which four went out. The same is true for cases, consoles, wireless channels, cameras, and anything else with a service history.

Flightcase resolves a scan to the equipment record, records movement, and keeps issues attached when the gear returns.

Use it to track

  • Serialized units, asset tags, and equipment cases.
  • Phone-camera QR scanning and Zebra scanner mode.
  • Show-linked checkouts and return processing.
  • Mismatch states and scan audit history.
  • Missing gear, blocked items, damage, and repair follow-up.

A checkout record the office can use

Movement should update the job, not disappear into a scanner screen.

01 / Identify

Resolve the physical item

Scan the serialized unit or case instead of relying on a handwritten asset number.

02 / Validate

Check it against the job

Keep the show and pull context close enough to catch the wrong item at the handoff.

03 / Return

Process what actually came back

Record return movement and keep missing or damaged equipment visible.

04 / Repair

Route the next action

Block equipment, create repair context, and prevent an issue from ending as a note on paper.

The loading dock loop

The job stays attached through each physical movement.

Pull

Prepare the equipment and cases required for the show.

Check out

Scan the selected units and record the handoff.

Check in

Scan returns and compare them with what left.

Resolve

Route missing, damaged, blocked, or repair items.

Questions buyers ask

Does Flightcase require dedicated scanner hardware?
No. Phone-camera QR scanning is available. A Zebra-oriented mode is also available for warehouses that use dedicated handheld scanners.
Does Flightcase support RFID checkout?
No RFID workflow is claimed today. Teams that require RFID should evaluate that requirement separately.
Can cases and individual units both be scanned?
Yes. Inventory can model serialized units and cases so the warehouse can work at the level that fits the equipment.
Can return issues stay tied to the show?
Yes. Checkout, return, issue, repair, and warehouse follow-up can retain the operational job context.
